Juice of the tropics
Drink your fruit and eat it too. I'm not much into drinking fruit juices. Why drink when you can eat and get the fiber too (with no preservatives, no added sugar, etc...)? To wage my campaign for the actual fruit, I'll serve guests their juice but top it with a fruit cup that may topple their juice desires.
Ingredients
- 1 Florida SlimCado® avocado
- 1 lime
- 1/4 cup juice, your choice
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1 Florida red guava
- 1 Florida Thai guava
- 4 slices Florida starfruit
Instructions
-
Cut the SlimCado avocado in half. Discard the seed. Scoop out the avocado but save the skin. Slice half the SlimCado into strips. Mash the remaining avocado, sprinkle with lime juice and wrap. Refrigerate for the evening's guacamole.
-
Position the avocado halves over glasses of juice. Split the yogurt between the 2 avocado shells.
-
Peel the red and Thai guava. Slice vertically and scoop out any seeds. Cut into strips. Place 3 strips of each guava inside each avocado shell. Wrap and refrigerate any remaining guava for another dish.
-
Slice a Florida starfruit into star shapes. Add 2 slices to every avocado shell. Wrap the remaining starfruit for another dish.
-
Serve immediately.
