Caribbean applesauce
Applesauce goes Caribbean with the simple addition of Caribbean Red® papaya. Eat as a snack or as a side dish for any dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lime
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup or approximately 1/4 Caribbean Red® papaya or 1 Solo papaya
- 1 tbs stevia
- 3 apples, cored, cut into chunky pieces
- 1/4 Caribbean Red papaya, peeled, seeds discarded, and papaya chopped into a couple of pieces

n a large saucepan over high heat, add enough water to cover the apples (about 2 cups). Bring the water to a boil. Add the juice of 1 lime, cinnamon, ginger and stevia. Stir to combine. Add the apples. Return to a boil. Then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook 25 minutes. Replace water if necessary.

Drain water from the apples. Scoop the apples and the papaya into a blender or food processor. Purée until well combined. Serve warm or chilled.
